Peterson's Guide to College: Peterson usually puts out a large book about various colleges in the United States. I do not have access to the current addition but Peterson's Guide to College has been put on the internet. You can access the website by typing in and registering. The site is free and has links to colleges and schools with basic demographic information about each one.

How To Get Money For College: There are a ton of companies that make their living providing students with information on how to pay for college. The companies that I list are the ones that have sent me information. The most recent one I have received can be found at It seems like a reputable company. It might be a helpful tool in choosing a college.
Get EDUcated!: This is an organizationthat allows students to fill out one application to apply to 34 Historically Black Colleges or Universities for a fee of $35. You can apply online at

MyMajors: The website contains information about college majors, financial aid, high school student checklist for college, and various other college tools.
